Joining Hands with Portuguese Craftsmanship: Portugal Pavilion at the 2024 Hangzhou International Cultural & Creative Expo

At the 2024 Hangzhou International Cultural Industries Fair, BAHC Advisory successfully invited the Portuguese cultural organization Portugal MANUAL to join the curation of the Portugal Pavilion, achieving remarkable results. This event was meticulously planned by curators Misi LIU and Filipa BELO, who led eight exquisitely crafted Portuguese handicraft brands and four exceptionally talented artists, delivering a cultural feast full of creativity and warmth to Hangzhou.

The Portugal Pavilion not only showcased exquisite works but also offered a series of immersive experiential activities, allowing visitors to intimately engage with the soul of Portuguese craftsmanship. Ceramic artist Carlos’s clay modeling workshop provided the best family experience of the event, while textile artist Maria’s workshop embraced local resources by improvising with native ropes. Moreover, the multiple panel discussions in the main venue sparked dynamic intellectual exchanges, building a profound bridge for cultural dialogue between China and Portugal in the field of handicrafts.
